Lone Star are pleased to confirm that we have exchanged a Land Promotion Agreement on 7 acres in Burton-on-the-Wolds, Leicestershire. The site comprises the Sturdee Poultry Farm which sits immediately adjacent to housing within this picturesque village within the Wolds.

Proposals

We hope to promote this site through the Neighbourhood Plan process garnering and building upon local support whilst believing that this site will offer Charnwood Borough the opportunity to provide some much needed housing in a sustainable village. The Site has been included in the Wolds NDP Submission Document of which consultation has now ended and is set to be seen by the Examination Inspector in the coming months. Once the Plan is made, we will progress with a planning application in accordance to the aims and aspirations of the Neighbourhood Plan.

Outcome

Lone Star are pleased to confirm exchange of contracts to Owl Homes on this 11 acre site in Burton on the Wolds, Leicestershire. The site has been successfully taken through the Neighbourhood Plan process and owing to extensive public consultation, this site has received public support for the principle of development throughout the process. Outline consent has been granted for 60 dwellings and the purchaser, Owl Homes are looking to commence work on site in November.
