Lone Star Land are pleased to announce that following the grant of detailed planning permission for 32 dwellings together with a new replacement sports pavilion (designed to Sports England guidelines) with improved changing facilities, club room, café kiosk, bar and function rooms plans are being put in place to insure the consent’s implementation. The proposals also include a new scout hut, re-seeded football playing fields, a purpose built rugby training ground and a resurfaced cycle track for use by the local community.
The planning application followed significant consultation with local stakeholders and the planning permission was negotiated at a local level with the Planning Committee voting in favour of the application.
The existing sports club is occupied by the Home Guard Club and the enhanced sports facilities are a key part of the new proposals and will give this important club a new lease of life. This will also enhance Stratford upon Avon’s sporting offer to the community.
The site is located in the much sought after location of Tiddington which is on the edge of Stratford Town and within convenient walking distance of the town’s amenities.
Architecturally the residential area will take inspiration from the character and materials of the local area and be finished with a high level of detailing.
Work is anticipated to start on site in early 2017 with completion of the sporting facilities towards the end of the year.
