Following a successful land promotion, Lone Star have delivered two positive planning decision notices within 11 working days of each other on land at Salford Priors.

The site has been promoted through the Neighbourhood Plan process and allocated for approximately 60 dwellings.

The first resolution to grant planning was unanimously approved at Committee and included a condition to determine mix at Reserved Matters stage, however in order to provide surety for the housebuilder that will be implementing the planning permission, Lone Star sought to get mix determined with the second application. This second application was approved by Officers using their delegated approval powers following support by the Parish Council, Ward Member and Chairman of the Planning Committee.

Both applications were in Outline form for 68 dwellings and featured a new crescent of housing incorporating two courtyards, overlooking a new village green.

Following these permissions being issued, Lone Star are currently engaged in discussions with a purchaser for the land. A further update will be provided in due course.
