The Planning Committee resolved unanimously to Grant Planning for 59 dwellings at the East Committee meeting in mid-October 2015. This application has been submitted following extensive consultation with the community and the Parish Council, who unfortunately could not decide what community benefits they wanted to see be generated by the development. However, the Parish Council attended the Committee meeing and stated that whilst they objected to the application before the Committee for consideration, they would be willing to support a scheme for a larger number of houses that incorporated a Village Hall.
The Planning Committee unanimously supported the 100% Policy compliant application.
A commitment was subsequently made to the Parish Council to submit an application for additional dwellings that would secure the delivery of a village hall.
This application was made a week later and received local political support.
