Background
A former brickworks site owned by Aggregate Industries which had become surplus to requirements had development potential which needed to be explored. Acting in a consultancy capacity Lone Star secured planning for up to 216 dwellings on this site with a view to bringing to the market post planning.
Project Overview
The site comprised some 30 acres, part of which was brownfield but had become naturalised to create a rich habitat for flora and fauna. The site was promoted through the Aberdeenshire Local Plan and an allocation for 200 dwellings secured. Over a two year process a planning application was then submitted and a planning permission was forthcoming in 2015.
