Leading independent land promoter Lone Star Land has announced changes at board level.
Richard Burke, Land Director, is to become Managing Director and current Managing Director and founder of Lone Star, Andy Wilkins, will become CEO of Lone Star Group. These changes will take effect from the beginning of April.
Andy Wilkins said “Richard has made a tremendous contribution to the growth and success of Lone Star since he joined us in 2019. I’m delighted that he has agreed to take on the role of Managing Director and I know that he will make a great success of it. Becoming CEO will enable me to take a broader strategic view of our position in a rapidly changing market.”
Richard Burke said “This is an exciting time to take up this position and I am looking forward to the challenges it presents. With the team we have, I am confident that we will continue to offer an independent, professional and innovative service to landowners that continues to give us a competitive advantage as is our continued independence in a consolidating sector.”
Reuben Bellamy will continue in his role as Lone Star’s Planning Director to spearhead the Company’s planning remit at a strategic level who along with Jerry Cahill KC, Non-Executive Director ensures that Lone Star remains at the forefront of maximising the planning potential of sites.
Lone Star Land Limited was formed by Andy Wilkins in 2010 to work with landowners to promote sites for residential development. Since then the business has grown to embrace both residential and commercial opportunities and has over 6000 plots and 1000 acres of employment land currently under control.
