The 6.3 acres site which lies on the western edge of Banbury, North of Balmoral Avenue, is a broadly well contained parcel of land that has previously been in agricultural use.
The context of the site in terms of visually prominent infrastructure and strong border planting ensure that that there will be minimal impact in terms of visual impact. As such, the site is suitable in principle for residential development, subject to technical considerations. The delivery of residential development here, including 30% affordable housing, would make an important contribution towards meeting the housing needs of the District and Oxfordshire more widely.
Lone Star are pleased to announce the grant of planning permission for 49 homes on land at Bretch Hill. After local government giving weak reasons for refusal the site was taken to appeal which was shortly resolved with the council agreeing not to argue any of their reasons for refusal. We are now looking for a development partner to complete construction of the site.
