Richard has over 20 years experience within the development industry, having worked within the housebuilding and strategic land promotion sectors.

His strong track record includes the identification, securing and delivery of several large scale residential and mixed-use development schemes.

This has included multiple land assembly and overcoming complex technical issues in order to bring projects to fruition.

Richard’s philosophy is to adopt a ‘win-win’ approach with landowners and developers to unlock and deliver opportunities.

Jack first joined Lone Star in 2017 as a placement year student from Nottingham Trent University. Coming from a family involved in housing development, he demonstrated a strong knowledge base and a clear willingness to learn. Lone Star was so impressed during his placement year that the company sponsored his final year of study, where he completed a BSc (Hons) in Property Finance & Investment.

Jack graduated with a First Class Honours degree and subsequently joined Lone Star as a Land Manager. Through continued progression and strong performance, Jack was promoted to Land Director in February 2026. In his role, he plays a key part in supporting the team and driving the growth of Lone Star’s site portfolio.

Ben joined Lone Star Land as Associate Planning Director, bringing over 12 years of planning experience from consultancy and senior leadership roles. His move client-side adds valuable depth to the business, underpinned by a strong, practical understanding of the planning system.

Ben holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Sociology and a postgraduate qualification in Urban and Regional Planning. He has progressed from Graduate Planner through to Associate Director, gaining broad experience across complex planning projects. In his role, Ben supports the strategic direction of the business and leads planning workstreams to help progress sites from promotion through to delivery.

Founder of Lone Star Land, Andy has amassed a wealth of experience and expertise within the housebuilding sector. Under his guidance and leadership, Lone Star grew consistently, supported by a disciplined and strategic approach to site selection. This enabled the business to remain private and independently funded, adopting a hands-on ethos that allowed Andy to focus on the craft of land promotion rather than solely on running the business.

In 2025, Andy successfully sold Lone Star Land. Under new ownership, the business continues to build on its strong foundations, with Andy remaining closely involved as a consultant, playing a pivotal role in supporting its ongoing success and strategic direction.
