The Proposal
This five and a half acre site on the Edge of Fernill Heath was allocated in Fernhill Heath Neighbourhood Plan which made for a smooth application. Public consultation is planned for the coming months to get a gage of what is wanted from the parish before drawings are to be published, This consultation will dictate our plans in an aim to provide a thought through sensitive design.
Outcome
Lone Star received a Resolution to Grant Planning Approval at Wychavon’s recent Planning Committee meeting. The Committee voted 13-0 with 1 abstention from the Local Ward Member, in favour of approving the application just 15 weeks after submission.
Prior to submission, Lone Star undertook a local public consultation exercise and held several meetings with the Parish Council to ensure that the proposals met with local key stakeholder’s expectations. Subsequently nobody registered to speak against the application at the Planning Committee.
Planning for 49 dwellings was achieved Autumn 2019 and then marketed shortly after by Fisher German who were jointly appointed by our landowners and ourselves. The Site was sold to Piper Homes. They are perfectly suited to this site being of their ideal size and central to their core operating patch. With the landowner living adjacent to the site, developer selection was of prime importance and with Piper’s strong product they will be compatible neighbours. Piper Homes
